The Mechanics of Drawing the Face and Hands – 4 Week Series

This class will help students gain an understanding of the planes and structures of the face and hands.  You will learn to draw the facial features with the head in different positions and the hands in various positions.  The beginning exercises will be drawn from life.  However, the major drawing will be done from a clear reference photo (a 3/4 view of a person is best for shadows).  Bring an 8×10 photograph  (no I Pad or camera) of someone you wish to portray.   Walgreens or Walmart can enlarge your photo, if needed.  Good lighting in the photo will make it easier for you.
