Greg received his formal training at Wake Forest University, earning a BFA in 1985. After college, he built a career in technical illustration, computer graphics, and multimedia programming, always keeping his art supplies close at hand. Following events of 9/11, Greg took a leap of faith and pursued fine art full time. Greg particularly enjoys painting on location, and his quick plein air approach naturally lends itself to impressionism. His distinctive stye is characterized by strong design principles and bold use of color. Greg travels the country extensively participating in art festivals, plein sir events and teaching workshops.
